Se Yoon Park is a sculptor based in New York and Seoul.

With a background in architecture, Park’s sculptural installations are defined by a refined sense of structure and geometric precision—an expression rooted in his architectural foundation. His formative experience at the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), led by Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas, deeply influenced his artistic vision, particularly through the lens of deconstructivist thinking.

He studied Architectural Engineering at Yonsei University in Seoul and earned his Master of Architecture from Columbia University in New York. In addition to OMA, he gained professional experience at world-renowned firms such as BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) and REX (Joshua Ramus), further expanding his spatial and conceptual approach. Since 2018, Park has developed his own sculptural practice through immersive installation works.

His work has been presented in numerous international exhibitions, including the Venice Architecture Biennale, the United Nations Headquarters, and Frieze No.9 Cork Street, and has been shown in galleries and public art projects across New York, London, Seoul, and Miami.

In early 2019, Park co-founded CARVALHO PARK, a contemporary art space in Brooklyn.
Known for its visually distinctive programming, the gallery showcases emerging artists who challenge disciplinary boundaries and presents experimental objects that move fluidly between the realms of art and design.

건축을 전공한 그는 정교한 구조미와 기하학적 구성력을 바탕으로 조형 설치 작업을 전개해 왔으며, 이러한 조형 언어는 그의 건축적 배경에서 비롯됩니다. 특히 네덜란드 건축가 렘 콜하스(Rem Koolhaas)의 OMA(Office for Metropolitan Architecture)에서의 경력을 통해 탈구축주의적 사고를 내면화하였고, 이는 박세윤의 예술적 시각 형성에 깊은 영향을 미쳤습니다.

그는 서울 연세대학교에서 건축공학을 전공하고, 뉴욕 콜럼비아 대학교에서 건축 석사 학위를 취득하였습니다. OMA 외에도 BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group), REX (Joshua Ramus) 등 세계적인 건축 사무소에서 실무를 쌓으며 입체적 사고를 발전시켰습니다. 2018년부터는 조각가로서 독자적인 작업 세계를 구축하며 설치 작업을 지속해오고 있습니다.

그의 작품은 베니스 건축 비엔날레와 UN 본부, 프리즈 런던 갤러리를 비롯한 다수의 국제 전시에서 소개되었으며, 뉴욕, 런던, 서울, 마이애미 등지의 갤러리 및 공공미술 프로젝트를 통해 선보이고 있습니다.

박세윤은 2019년 초 브루클린에서 현대미술공간 카발호 파크(CARVALHO PARK)를 공동 설립하였습니다.
이 공간은 시각적으로 독창적인 전시 프로그램으로 주목받고 있으며, 장르 간 경계를 재고하는 신진 작가들의 작품을 소개하고, 예술과 디자인의 경계를 자유롭게 넘나드는 실험적 오브제들을 선보이는 데 집중하고 있습니다.
